CosIng Definition: Increasing foaming capacity and/or stabilize foams in general.
Foam boosting surfactants enhance the volume, stability, and longevity of foam produced during use of products like shampoos, body washes, and facial cleansers. While primary surfactants initiate the foaming action, foam boosters support and extend the foam by strengthening the film around air bubbles and slowing bubble collapse. These agents improve the sensory experience of cleansing products without necessarily increasing cleansing efficacy.
